Epiclesis

I Am a Descendant of Abraham

Remember President John F. Kennedy's famous speech in Berlin when he declared, "Ich bin ein Berliner"? In underlining America's support for the divided city, and nation, he said, "Two thousand years ago the proudest boast was civis Romanus sum ["I am a Roman citizen"]. Today, in the world of freedom, the proudest boast is "Ich bin ein Berliner!"... All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words "Ich bin ein Berliner!"
In this podcast teaching from Romans 11, Pastor Chris notes how Paul makes the case for saying that, for both Jews and Gentiles, the unifying cry is "I am a descendant of Abraham." Check out the Scripture passage and dig in with the Epiclesis family as they took a close look at Romans 11.
