Love in the Time of Corona
How do we love in the time of Corona? C.S. Lewis says, "...do not let us begin by exaggerating the novelty of our situation." Is there precedent for an outbreak of disease in our Christian past, and what does Scripture say about our duty during times like these?
So now we find ourselves in a place that could be one of despair. Except there are at least three problems with that, at least for the Christian:
- Despair is NOT a hallmark of our Christian heritage— the Christian story.
- Perseverance in time of crisis IS a hallmark of our Christian heritage.
- Many, many people who call themselves Christian don’t really know our Christian heritage.
