During Eastertide, 2012, our community of faith has been asking the question, "The Resurrection... So What?" This particular teaching took a look at Jesus' upper room discourse, in John's gospel, about vines and branches-- and more particularly Jesus' words about abiding in Him. In John's epistle, we learn that fear has to do with punishment. So what difference does the resurrection make when it comes to fear, punishment, and abiding? Along the way we also talked about at least two covenant signs found in abiding in Christ. Oh, and we also talked about messy rooms. Sound interesting?
