Meeting Together While the World Falls Apart

The disciples were rightly amazed at the size and grandeur of Herod's Temple, and Jesus must have surprised and alarmed them when He revealed what would happen to that amazing building. Compare that episode-- and Jesus' description of end times-- to the reading we did in Hebrews where the writer encourages believers not to abandon meeting together "as is the habit of some." Nothing here on earth lasts forever, we learn, and we are to build one another up and "spur one another" toward good deeds especially as we see The Day approaching.
