Amos and the Plumbline
The message that God had for His people through Amos was not a pleasant one. The reason? Compared to Yahweh's standard-- His plumbline-- the people had fallen a long, long way from straight and level. Now it was up to Amos to deliver a prophetic message of justice and judgement.
