Two Paths to Greatness
The Gospel of Mark tells of how James and John essentially make a power grab. This frustrates the other disciples. Jesus responds to the kerfuffle with a statement of contrast: How power is exercised in the world vs. how power is acquired in the Kingdom of God.
It boils down to one distinctive, inescapable reality: "He who would rule must first serve." Sounds good, yes? But does it work in "the real world"? And if it works, how does it work?
